Mitigation and Enhancement

Mitigation may be required on certain development sites to minimise the negative effects of development. This may involve habitat restoration and/or creation measures to reduce disturbance to wildlife. These measures may also be required to compensate for damage and/or disturbance to habitats and/or wildlife during the development phase. The strategies are also expected to meet the requirements of the Local Planning Authority, Natural England (or CCW/SNH) guidelines and current wildlife legislation.
