Student of the Year 2020!

Published on by Dr Paul Beckett

Eugenia SiccardiWe are absolutely delighted that Eugenia Siccardi has won the Student of the Year Award at the 2020 Property Care Association (PCA) Best Practice Awards. This was in relation to the results of her examination for becoming a Certificated Surveyor in Japanese knotweed management. Eugenia has worked particularly hard during the unprecedented challenges of 2020 to maintain the high standards of professionalism and the client-centred approach that Phlorum proudly provides. The Best Practice Awards are usually held as part of a black-tie dinner that follows the PCA’s annual conference. The event provides an excellent opportunity for members of the PCA to meet up, learn the latest news and to celebrate their successes over the past year. Last year’s event was held at The Slate at Warwick University and it proved to be a valuable learning experience as well as a whole lot of fun. This year, due to the Covid-19 situation, the conference and awards ceremony was cancelled. Nevertheless, no exception was given to the PCA’s pledge to promote industry best practice and to recognise those members who have gone ‘above and beyond’ in their achievements. Thus, the awards have been awarded without the usual fanfare of a fancy event. Hopefully this means that next year’s awards will be a chance to celebrate doubly!
