Bat Surveys

| Roost Surveys (buildings) | All year with hibernation checks being December and January. |

| Emergency Surveys | Optimal May to September with peak running from Late May to August inclusive and only one survey allowed outside this peak period. |

Great Crested Newts & Reptiles

| Great Crested Newt Surveys | The optimal survey time is between March and June. |
| Reptile Surveys | March to October but temperature dependent and may be too warm in summer. |
Birds

| Water Vole Surveys | Between April and the end of September. Two surveys are required at least two months apart. The two optimal periods are Mid-April to end of June and July to end of September. |
